Forging International Opportunity

The International Dual Enrollment Academy (IDEA) is a groundbreaking global studies program developed through a collaboration between Birmingham Sister Cities, Miles College, and Birmingham City Schools. This unique program offers students a transformative educational experience that integrates dual enrollment coursework, immersive cultural enrichment, and a travel abroad opportunity.

By participating in IDEA, students will cultivate essential skills, forge meaningful relationships, and gain valuable international experiences that will prepare them to thrive in our interconnected world.

The Academy recognizes the critical role that international exposure and opportunities play in fostering college readiness and setting students up for success in their chosen career paths. Through IDEA, students will have access to these pivotal elements, empowering them to develop a global perspective and a competitive edge in their future endeavors.
